Terri Breland
Terri Breland is the Director of Elementary Exceptional Children. Terri holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Administration. Her diverse teaching background includes experience in 3rd grade, 1st grade, middle school, and high school. This background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape.
Terri's journey in the Office of Exceptional Children spans nine years, during which she has served as a MET Chairperson, Assistant Director, Interim Director, and now Elementary Director. She has a passion for supporting students within the district that fuels her drive as a leader and an advocate in the field of education.
Terri has been a part of the Hancock County School District for over 20 years, and she is the proud mother of two Hancock High School alumni. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the water, being with family and friends, and traveling.Director of Secondary Exceptional Children
Blaine Stiger
Blaine Stiger is in his second year as the Secondary Director of Exceptional Children for the Hancock County School District. Mr. Stiger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi followed by a Master of Education in Mild/Moderate with a secondary emphasis on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders from William Carey University. He went on to earn a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from William Carey University. Mr. Stiger began his career as an alternate route educator and has served as a Teacher, District Behavioral Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Special Education Coordinator.
Mr. Stiger is a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and resides in Pass Christian with his wife Emileigh and their 5 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, being active members of their church, and watching the LSU Tigers.
Mr. Stiger is proud to be a part of a team that fosters collaborative efforts to support students and educators so that they may achieve greatness and excel in every aspect of life.
