Mr. Mike Hindman comes to Hancock High School with nine years of experience as an educator and over twenty-five years of experience in customer service. He has been married to his wife Tish for almost 30 years and has two sons, Ethan and Justin, and is “papa” to his granddaughter Layne. Mr. Hindman and his wife have also hosted nine exchange students from Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, and Spain. Mr. Hindman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently completing his Master's in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College.
Mr. Hindman served as the Transportation Director for the past two years and was awarded Director of the Year for the 2024-25 school year at Pearl River County School District. Before moving to the transportation department, Mr. Hindman was a teacher at Pearl River Central High School, having taught Algebra 1 for two years, and Biology and Marine & Aquatic Science for five years. Mr. Hindman also coached the High School and Middle School Cross-Country teams for six years and served as Beta Club sponsor for seven years.
Mr. Hindman is excited to be a Hawk and serve as Assistant Principal at Hancock High School.
