CERTIFIED PERSONNEL

 

1.         Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Charlotte Saucier as teacher at   East Hancock Elementary School, effective October 12, 2016, for the remainder of the    2016 – 2017 school year.

 

2.         Approval of recommendation to employ Vincent Handy, now properly certified, as           teacher at Hancock Middle School, effective October 12, 2016, for the remainder of the           2016 – 2017 school year.

 

3.         Approval of recommendation to employ Angela “Annie” Ladner as a certified substitute   teacher to serve homebound students, effective November 9, 2016, for the remainder of     the 2016 – 2017 school year, at the hourly rate of a certified teacher commensurate with            her years of experience and also to be reimbursed for mileage at the district’s rate.

4.         Approval of recommendation to employ Victoria Ritter as computer lab instructor at         West Hancock Elementary School, effective October 24, 2016, for the remainder of the    2016 – 2017 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary          background checks.

 

5.         Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Stephanie Flores as teacher        assistant and bus aide at Hancock Middle School, effective October 12, 2016, for the           remainder of the 2016 – 2017 school year.

 

6.         Approval of recommendation to employ Heather Richardson as teacher assistant at            Hancock Middle School, effective October 26, 2016, for the remainder of the 2016 –            2017 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

7.         Approval of recommendation to employ Liz Vernaci, Gidget Gaudet, Dori Martin and      Cindy Ladner for the positions of reading interventionist for the United Way Community      Outreach Program with the United Way Grant Funds.

 

8.         Approval of recommendation to employ Sharon Austin as a long-term substitute teacher   at South Hancock Elementary School, effective October 17, 2016 through December 20,        2016, for the 2016 – 2017 school year at a daily of $100.00.  (Board Policy GBD)

 

9.         Approval of recommendation of overtime pay at time and a half to Carolyn Cuevas and    Leslie Brecher for working on Monday, October 10, 2016. (Board Policy GCRAA)

 

 

 

10.       Approval of recommendation to employ Leighann Sturm as a long-term substitute             teacher at East Hancock Elementary School, subject to the successful completion of the     necessary background checks, effective October 24, 2016, for the 2016 – 2017 school           year at a daily of $100.00.  (Board Policy GBD)

 

11.       Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Linda Eldridge as full time bus driver for the Hancock County School District Transportation Department, effective       October 21, 2016, for the remainder of the 2016 – 2017 school year.

26.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote for 5 Lincoln Flextec Welders     from Airgas in the amount of $17,625.00.

 

27.       Approval of recommendation to purchase a clock system for the Career Technical Center from Communications Resources Cabling in the amount of $5,752.78.

 

28.       Approval of recommendation to lease (1) copier from Gulf Copy System for Hancock       North Central Elementary School.

 

29.       Approval of the Agreement of Cooperation between the Hancock County School District             and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services for the 2016 – 2017 school        year.
