2.         Approval of recommendation to employ Rachel Spell as teacher at East Hancock   Elementary School, effective September 25, 2017, for the remainder of the 2017            – 2018 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary          background checks.  (Board Policy GBE)

 

3.         Approval of recommendation to make application to the State Department of         Education for a one year interim license in the area of math for Don Acosta for          the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

4.         Approval of recommendation to employ Melissa Grossman, now properly   certified, as teacher at Hancock Middle School, effective September 7, 2017, for      the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

5.         Approval of recommendation to employ Derek Peterson as a teacher assistant at    Hancock Middle School, effective September 25, 2017, for the remainder of the         2017 – 2018 school year. (Board Policy GCD)

 

6.         Approval of recommendation to employ Liz Vernaci and Dori Martin for the         position of reading interventionist, effective September 12, 2017, for the           remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

7.         Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Susan Delmore as a        full time bus aide for the Department of Transportation, effective September 6,          2017, for the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year. (Board Policy GBO)

 

8.         Approval of recommendation to employ Shawn Taylor as a full time bus aide for   the Department of Transportation, effective September 6, 2017, for the remainder        of the 2017 – 2018 school year, subject to the successful completion of the         necessary background checks. 9.         Approval of recommendation to employ Carla Isted as a long-term substitute         teacher at Hancock Middle School, effective September 23, 2017, for the          remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year at a daily rate of $100.00, subject to         the successful completion of the necessary background checks. 10.       Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Tammie Tague as a         cafeteria worker for the Child Nutrition Department, effective September 18,           2017, for the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year. (Board Policy GBO)

 

11.       Approval of recommendation of Charles Bourg for the Hancock Middle School     Robotics supplement for the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

 

12.       Approval of recommendation to employ Leland Elchos as a long-term substitute    teacher at Hancock High School, effective September 29, 2017, for the remainder      of the 2017 – 2018 school year at a daily rate of $100.00, subject to the            successful completion of the necessary background checks. 13.       Approval of recommendation to transfer Shannon Kennedy from the 5.5 hour a     day position to the vacant 6 hour a day position at Hancock Middle School      cafeteria for the Child Nutrition Department, effective October 16, 2017, for the       remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

14.       Approval of recommendation to employ Nicole Johnson as a 5.5 hour a day           permanent cafeteria worker at Hancock Middle School, effective October 16,     2017, for the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

23.       Approval to accept the highest bid for a three year term as the District Bank           Depository at a fixed interest rate of 1.20 percent from Hancock Bank.

 

24.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote from MakerBot for a 3D             printer for the Engineering Program at Career Tech in the amount of $16,885.10.   (Board Policy DJ)

 

25.       Approval to accept the lowest quote from IT SAVVY for 13 Epson projectors for             Hancock Middle School in the amount of $6,703.58.  (Board Policy DJ)

 

26.       Approval of the amended 2016 – 2017 district budget.

39.       Approval of recommendation for the Special Education Department to use the       YellowFolder System on a twelve (12) month trial basis.
