2.                  Approval to accept the resignation of Joel Myrick as teacher at the Hancock County Career Technical Center effective May 25, 2018. (Board Policy GBO)

 

3.                  Approval of recommendation to amend the resignation date of Monti Noblitt to June 7, 2018.

 

4.                  Approval of recommendation to amend the resignation date of William Bentz to June 7, 2018.

 

5.                  Approval of recommendation to amend the contracted days for lead teachers from 187 to 192 for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

 

6.                  Approval of recommendation to employ Tina Wolfe as teacher at South Hancock Elementary School for the 2018 – 2019 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

7.                  Approval of recommendation to transfer Gineca Garriga from the position of teacher at Hancock High School to the position of polymer science teacher at the Hancock County Career Technical Center.

 

8.                  Approval of recommendation to employ Shelly Hansen as teacher at Hancock Middle School for the 2018 – 2019 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

9.                  Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Vanesa Martinez as lead teacher at Hancock Middle School effective May 25, 2018.

 

10.              Approval of recommendation to increase the employment of Kim Saucier from a ten and ˝ (10 ˝) to a twelve (12) month contract for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

 

11.              Approval of recommendation of Vanesa Martinez as assistant principal for a contingent contract for the 2018 – 2019 school year at Hancock Middle School, pending certification at a daily rate commensurate to the respective certified administrative salary scale.

 

12.              Approval of recommendation to employ Thomas Mallini as assistant principal at South Hancock Elementary School for the 2018 – 2019 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

NON-CERTIFIED PERSONNEL

13.              Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of Jordan Moak, effective May 8, 2018, for the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

14.              Approval of recommendation to accept the resignation of David Fargher as a full time bus driver for the Hancock County Department of Transportation, effective May 11, 2018, for the remainder of the 2017 – 2018 school year.

 

15.              Approval of recommendation to employ Courtney Jones as teacher assistant at South Hancock Elementary School for the 2018 – 2019 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

16.              Approval of recommendation to employ Bailee Brewer as a long-term substitute teacher at Hancock Middle School for the 2018 – 2019 school year, pending licensure, at a daily rate of $100.00, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

17.              Approval of the Athletic, Band, Robotics and annual sponsors for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

 

OTHER BUSINESS 

18.              Approval of the Hancock County School District Docket of Claims #2 (claim #s 89294 thru 89409) for the month of May, 2018. (Board Policy DJEG)

 

19.              Approval of the Activity Fund Claims Dockets for all schools for the month of May, 2018. (Board Policy DJ)

 

20.              Approval to enter into an agreement with Encore Rehabilitation to provide an athletic trainer and physical therapy services for Hancock High School in the amount of $15,000.00 for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

 

21.              Approval to enter into an agreement with Kelly Educational Staffing to provide substitute teachers for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

 

22.              Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote to furnish and install four (4) Hose reels with fans and related duct work at the transportation building from J.W. Puckett in the amount of $38,647.00.

 

23.              Approval of the principal and interest payment on the 2012 bond in the amount of $1,100,000.00 and $37,375.00 respectively and principal and interest payment on the 2014 bond in the amount of $1,225.00.00 and $22,312.50 respectively with Hancock Bank.

 

24.              Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote of $87,900.00 for the purchase of a 48 passenger handicap accessible bus from Water’s International.

 

25.              Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote of $91,100.00 for the purchase of a 77 passenger handicap accessible bus from Water’s International.

 

26.                 Approval of the amended Hancock School Board Policy DFCAA – Federal Loans and Grants.

 

27.              Approval of the 2018 Summer Feeding School Program Contract.

 

28.                 Approval of the Memorandum of Understanding for Field Experience between the Mississippi State University and the Hancock County School District for the 2018 – 2019 school year.
