1.         Declaration of continued State of Emergency for Hancock County School District effective March 16, 2020 associated with the COVID-19 outbreak.

CERTIFIED PERSONNEL

 

2.         Approval of recommendation to employ Jennifer Mayo, now properly certified, as teacher at West Hancock Elementary School for the 2020 -2021 school year.  (Board Policy GBD)

 

3.         Approval to transfer Michelle Ludt from a teacher position at Hancock North Central Elementary School to a teacher position at West Hancock Elementary School for the 2020 – 2021 school year.

4.         Approval of recommendation to employ Loretta Porche as teacher at Hancock North Central Elementary School for the 2020 -2021 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

5.         Approval of recommendation to employ Logan Nault, now properly certified, as teacher at South Hancock Elementary School for 2020 -2021 school year.

NON-CERTIFIED PERSONNEL

6.         Approval of recommendation to hire four students for intern positions within the maintenance department and three students for intern positions within the transportation department for 10 weeks not to exceed 30 hours per week at an hourly rate of $10.00.

 

7.         Approval of recommendation to employ Barbara Long as a part-time bus aide, effective March 16, 2020, for the remainder of the 2019 – 2020 school year, subject to the successful completion of the necessary background checks.

 

8.         Approval of recommendation to employ Sarah Ladner as a long-term substitute teacher, at a daily rate of $100.00, at Hancock North Central Elementary School, effective August 3, 2020, for the 2020 -2021 school year.

9.         Approval of recommendation to employ Schran Ladner as assistant High School Fast Pitch coach, effective January 1, 2020, for the remainder of the 2019 – 2020 school year.

 

OTHER BUSINESS 

 

10.       Approval of the Hancock County School District Docket of Claims #1 (claim #s 95996 thru 96124) for the month of April 2020.  (Board Policy DJEG)

 

11.       Approval of the Activity Fund Claims Dockets for all schools for the month of April 2020. (Board Policy DJ)

 

12.       Approval of the February 2020 Revenue and Expense Report. (Board Policy DJ)

 

13.       Approval of recommendation to pay Ref pay $2,000.00 for security at graduation and $5,000.00 for security at the PAC for events during the 2019 – 2020school year.

 

14.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote to purchase four pair of aluminum store front doors for the Hancock Middle School Commons from Sumrall Glass in the amount of $12,820.00.

 

15.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote to purchase various exercise equipment for the field house from Rhodes Strength Training Systems in the amount of $11,747.78.

18.       Approval of payment #2 in the amount of $123,770.75 for professional services regarding the demolition and construction of the restrooms and concession stand at the stadium to Dixon Construction.  (Board Policy DJ)

 

19.       Approval of payment #6 in the amount of $112,820.38 regarding the renovation of the restrooms at Hancock High, payment #8 in the amount of $188,468.79 for the field house, and payment #2 in the amount of $54,561.04 for the administrative building to J.W. Puckett.  (Board Policy DJ)

 

20.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote to repair all bus seats needing vinyl repair from Waters International Trucks in the amount of $14,842.97 (Board Policy DJ)

 

21.       Approval of recommendation to accept the lowest quote to purchase seat foam cushions

for all bus seats needing repair from Waters International Trucks in the amount of $7,895.18. (Board Policy DJ)

 

22.       Approval of recommendation to purchase a 2020 4 door Sedan Nissan Sentra care for the Hancock County School District from Nissan of Picayune in the amount of $16,895.00.

 

23.       Approval of payment #4 for professional services regarding the renovation of the commons in the amount of $187,908.10 and payment #4 for services regarding the HVAC system at Hancock High in the amount of $126,620.85 to DNP.

 

24.       Approval of Change Order #1 to expand the scope of the dining renovations and provisions for the D bldg. classroom conversions increasing the contract sum from $925,950.00 to $995,074.96.

 

25.       Approval of payment #1 for professional services regarding the classroom additions to the PAC in the amount of $45,322.60 to Dan Hensarling, Inc.

 

26.       Approval of Travel Agenda and related expenses. (Board Policies JGFB, CGPF & EDA)

 

27.       Approval to accept the travel agenda and related expenses prior to the board meeting by ratification.
