Hancock Cheer

The HHS Cheer team competed at the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida this past week. This is the highest level of completion for the High School level in the United States and those who attend must receive a bid

The team competed in the Varsity Coed Non-Tumbling Division II Game Day and placed 6th out of 22 teams, with only .7 of a point separating 6th and 2nd place. 

They also competed in the Varsity Coed Non Tumbling Division II and placed 4th out of 14 teams. 

Members of the 2024-24 Cheerleading team are: Seniors Haileigh Edwards, Kylie Gerald, Makelsie Koenenn, Payton Ladner, Hayden Reesor, and Josie Vaccaro. Juniors Ellysa Burkhart, Hayden Hopgood, Alana Lambert, Maddie Monahan, Heath Oncale, Savanna Sharkey, and Arleigh Smith. Sophomore Kylie Lafontaine. Freshmen Adlea Daniels, Kaylynn Green, Alex Griffith, Maddie Hillard, Georgia Ladner, Joslin Necaise and Ella Schmidt.

Coach Rutledge and Coach Gajewski would like to thank the cheer parents for everything they have done over the season! Also thanks to Mr. Ladner for showing up to Orlando! Having family and Mr. Ladner there meant the world to the cheerleaders! Also thanks to the Hancock Hawk Foundation for their generous donation. They were a huge help with cheer's fundraising and a big reason that they were able to go! And of course, a big THANK YOU to the entire community for coming together to make this trip possible for the team!
