Our fourth grade Gators in Challenge are continuing their journey into understanding the power of a growth mindset. They learned about Ole Kirk Christiansen, the founder of LEGO, and how his perseverance and determination helped him overcome challenges and build one of the most beloved toy companies in the world.

To deepen their understanding of empathy, students participated in discussions about how they can make a difference in the lives of others. They then joined the annual #LegoBuildtoGive initiative, where they designed and created heartfelt LEGO builds. These creations were shared on social media to support LEGO's effort to donate kits to children in hospitals, children's homes, and underserved communities.

Through this activity, our students not only practiced creativity but also learned how small acts of kindness can have a big impact. They truly embraced the spirit of helping others, combining the values of grit and empathy in a meaningful way.
