April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child, a time dedicated to honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of children in military families. While service members often receive well-deserved recognition, this month shines a light on the young individuals who stand behind them—quietly adapting, supporting, and persevering through unique challenges.

Military children experience frequent moves, long separations from parents, and the uncertainty that comes with deployments. Despite these challenges, they continue to show remarkable courage and flexibility. They build new friendships, adjust to new schools, and remain strong even when a parent is far from home. Their sacrifices, though often unseen, are deeply meaningful.

In recognition of their strength, we showed our support in a simple but powerful way. We wore camo to represent all who serve in the armed forces, purple to honor military children from every branch, and red to remember and support those who are currently deployed. Each color carried a message of unity, respect, and gratitude.

This month reminds us that service is not carried by the military member alone—it is shared by their families, especially their children. These young heroes deserve acknowledgment not just in April, but every day of the year.

To all military children and families: we see you, we support you, and we appreciate your service.
