Students from the Hancock County Career and Technical Center showcased their talents at the SkillsUSA regional competition held February 14 at Jones College. Representing the Architecture & Drafting, Early Childhood Education, and Welding programs, these student competitors demonstrated outstanding skill, professionalism, and commitment across a range of leadership and technical events.
Among the top achievers was Christian Ladner, who earned a bronze medal in Related Technical Math, securing his place at the upcoming state-level competition. He is joined by several classmates whose performances also qualified them to advance—each exemplifying the excellence and determination that define HCCTC.
This success reflects not only the students’ hard work but also the dedication of their instructors:
Mrs. Ladette Boone – Architecture & Drafting
Mrs. Whitney McCardle – Early Childhood Education
Mr. Willie Santiago – Welding
Congratulations to all of our competitors and educators for representing HCCTC with pride and professionalism!
