Schenel Fricke Receives Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Award


Schenel Fricke, Work-Based Learning instructor at the Hancock County Career Technical Center, has been named a recipient of the Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Award. Fricke was one of 10 teachers selected from a competitive field of 54 applicants across the region.


The Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Award recognizes educators who demonstrate creativity and innovation in the classroom while providing meaningful learning opportunities for students. Award recipients are chosen for their commitment to enhancing education through hands-on, real-world experiences.


Fricke’s work in Work-Based Learning focuses on preparing students for success beyond high school by connecting classroom instruction with career exploration and practical workforce skills.


Her selection highlights both her dedication to students and the strong career and technical education programs offered at the Hancock County Career Technical Center.
