Students in Ms. Altergott and Ms. Garriga’s 1st grade class took on a STEM challenge by working together to create the longest chain possible using only 3 pieces of construction paper!
This activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking—and our students did a fantastic job collaborating as a group. We love seeing learning come to life!

🏆 Mandy John – One of our amazing cafeteria staff members who is loved by students and always goes the extra mile to take care of both students and staff.

Any 5th grade student who is interested in band is invited to attend Instrument Testing Night. This event allows students to try out instruments and find the best fit before making a decision. Instrument Testing Night will be held at the Hancock Middle School Band Hall this Wednesday, February 11th from 5:00–7:00 PM. Students may arrive at any time during the event.
The band interest forms that are going to be sent home today are due on Friday. Forms may be turned in to your child’s homeroom teacher or completed online using the QR code on the back of the paper sent home. The online form is also available at https://www.bepartofthemusic.org/group/index.php?id=9218.

Congratulations to Mrs. Pam Lestrade! As our librarian, she fosters a love of reading while going above and beyond to support teachers by extending and enriching curriculum. Mrs. Pam works tirelessly to provide phenomenal book fairs and meaningful opportunities for students. She also teaches computer skills, makes health lessons fun and engaging, and helps lead 4-H activities. No matter the request, she always supports our staff with creativity and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Mrs. Jones! Ms. Jones is a teacher who brings heart to every day and her class is alive with purpose and connection. She has a gift for rallying her students as a team. She creates space for meaningful conversations allowing voices to be heard and stories to be shared. In her class, learning feels personal. With her guidance, students don't just meet the standards; they feel seen, heard, valued, and inspired to grow!
