Kellie Monahan-Jones – Our amazing 5th grade ELA teacher who not only delivers engaging lessons but also builds meaningful relationships with her students and supports her fellow teachers with a heart full of Wildcat pride.
Crystal Smith – A dedicated assistant teacher who keeps the classroom running smoothly and never hesitates to step up when needed — often before anyone even has to ask.
Officer Bob – Our beloved school security officer who ensures we are safe and protected every day. His kindness, helpfulness, and strong connections with students and staff make him a treasured part of our Wildcat family.

Third Grade would like to RECOGNIZE Wildcats from each homeroom who have been Good
Classroom Culture Builders in the fourth term of school! Those students as shown in the picture
are:
Izzy Olivieri from Mrs. Haslauer’s Homeroom: Izzy models RESPECT for our class and
school values. Izzy has good attendance, engagement, and participation in class! She
works hard and gets RESULTS! Izzy is a great role model in third grade and at WHE!
We are proud to have Izzy in our class!
Sawyer Short has good RELATIONSHIPS with his peers in the classroom and on the
playground! He is always looking out for friends and cheering them up when they are
sad. Sawyer RECOGNIZES when others need help and is always there to lend a hand.
He always shows RESPECT to his peers and teachers. Good job, Sawyer!
Layla Hayes from Ms. Mooar's Homeroom: Layla models RELATIONSHIP BUILDING in
the school! She is quick to reach out to fellow classmates and make new students feel
welcome on the playground. Layla RECOGNIZES when she can help those around her,
whether it be helping a teacher or another student. She also REINFORCES good things!
You can count on Layla to tell a classmate “good job,” or “nice work!” Hooray, Layla!

Awards Day Reminder
📣 Dress Code Update for 2025–2026
Hancock County School District has updated its student dress code to reflect a more flexible, guideline-based approach—thanks to feedback from our families and staffulty.
Out of 1,895 total survey responses, 70.3% supported moving away from the previous uniform-style policy to a dress code based on general expectations for appropriate attire.
👕 Students will now have more choice—while still being expected to dress neatly and appropriately for school.
