Mrs. Karen Albrecht
Karen Albrecht has been the Child Nutrition Director for the Hancock County School District since 2014. She holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Southern Mississippi. Karen receives annual Level II Administration certification from the Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Child Nutrition, and maintains Servsafe certifications. As a proactive leader in her field, she serves as an elected member of the USDA Food Distribution Committee for Region 7, is an active member and committee participant of the Mississippi School Nutrition Association, and serves an affiliate board member for the Mississippi Association for School Administrators.
Karen is dedicated to providing high-quality meals that enhance student nutrition. She has successfully built and leads a dedicated Child Nutrition team, valuing each member’s contributions within the school cafeterias.
Passionate about empowering students to lead healthy lifestyles both at school and at home, Karen is committed to positively influencing the well-being of future generations. She works to ensure that the students of Hancock County receive nutritious meals that support their physical and cognitive development.
Outside of her professional life, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, and their son, Tucker. She cherishes watching Tucker grow and thrive within the HAWK family.
