Hancock County School District is celebrating a major achievement after the release of the 2025 Junior ACT composite rankings. This year, our district climbed from 9th in the state to 4th!. We are also proud to hold the position of 2nd on the Coast.
This accomplishment reflects a year of intentional planning and dedicated work from both students and staffulty. Teachers across all campuses incorporated ACT-readiness strategies into daily instruction, provided targeted support sessions, and used practice data to help students strengthen specific areas. Schools also offered ACT prep opportunities, including tutoring, practice testing, and classroom integration of ACT-style questions and pacing.
Students responded with determination, commitment, and a strong desire to grow. Many took advantage of additional support opportunities, pushed themselves through challenging practice work, and showed strong focus leading up to test day.
The district is incredibly proud of this milestone, which reflects the combined effort of hardworking students and the staffulty who guide, teach, and support them every day.
