After further assessment of roadways, including staff driving bus routes and monitoring roads throughout the day, the icy conditions have not dissipated as anticipated. Therefore, Hancock County School District will not have school tomorrow, Friday, January 24.

🌟 Math in Motion! 🌟 Ms. Maggie's kindergarten Gators took learning outside as they practiced number bonds in a BIG way! Using sidewalk chalk, they explored the concept of moving from parts to a whole by hopping, skipping, and jumping their way through a giant number bond on the playground. Hands-on, active learning makes math so much fun!
Alaisia Garrett saved up her Gator Bucks and cashed in on a “Be the Teacher for the Day” coupon! She took over the classroom with confidence, teaching Math by tackling word problems about the total value of a group of bills and leading an engaging phonics lesson in ELA. With amazing role models like Ms. Whitman and Ms. Hunnicutt, Alaisia is off to a fantastic start on her teaching journey. Watch out world—this future educator is already inspiring others!
