Good afternoon, H Nation!
We know there is water on some roads throughout the county following the recent weather. At this time, Hancock County School District still plans to have school on Tuesday, May 26, at normal scheduled times.
However, if buses are unable to safely travel down your road or families are unable to safely leave their homes, student absences will be excused.
We are continuing to monitor conditions closely and will share any updates through ParentSquare and social media if needed. Please stay safe!

🎉 Welding II students wanted to celebrate completing the two-year welding program and achieving a 100% pass rate on their National Certification Test, so they decided to cook breakfast for themselves. It was a great time filled with good food and celebration. Congratulations to these students on becoming Nationally Certified welders! 👏. #MakingWavesOfGreatness #HawksHaveGrit

A special thank you to Coffee Culture for the specialty coffees, Chancery Clerk Tiffany Cowman for the delicious cookies, and Bayou Talla Church for the amazing donuts. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and for helping make our teachers feel so appreciated.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 to our Precision Machining student, Caden Ladner, on being named a recipient of the Gene Haas Scholarship!
HCCTC, along with his family, had the privilege of surprising Caden with this outstanding achievement.
Caden will be attending MGCCC this fall to pursue a degree in precision machining. We are incredibly proud of his hard work and can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in the future! #MakingWavesOfGreatness ❤️💙🦅

Welding I and Welding II students competed in George County today, representing our program with skill and determination. While they didn’t place this time, each student walked away with $200 worth of welding equipment! That's a win! #MakingWavesOfGreatness

We celebrated our HCCTC Completers this week with our yearly "Completer Breakfast!!" These students have put in two years of hard work, dedication, and growth to reach this milestone, and it shows. We are proud of you! ❤️💙 #MakingWavesOfGreatness

Thank you to Coast Electric's Vehicle Maintenance Department and volunteers from the CoastConnect team for cooking a delicious meal for our HCCTC faculty and students, today. Emily Battaglia, Emma Hopkins, and Raleigh Seal were selected as recipients of the IMPACT Scholarship at Pearl River Community College on Tuesday, April 21. This special scholarship was made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor who wished to recognize and support outstanding students and teachers across Mississippi. Through this gift, the donor hoped to celebrate the powerful influence educators have on their students’ lives and future careers. These Hancock Career and Technical Center students wrote an essay about their career plans and the teacher who had an “impact” on their lives. Emily and Emma selected Ms. April Davis, and Raleigh Seal selected Ms. LaShea Wilson as their IMPACT teachers. During the scholarship luncheon on the PRCC Poplarville Campus, it was inspiring to see the meaningful connections between students and educators that continue to shape future leaders. #MakingWavesOfGreatness
