The Hawk's Nest had a VERY SPECIAL visitor today.....Santa Claus!!! Santa heard about our amazing boys and girls and came all the way to Hancock County during his busiest time of year to spend some time with them! It was a fun filled day with lots of squeals and giggles. 🎅🏻🎁🦌🔔🎄❤️💚

We’re excited to share two calendar options for next school year, and we want to hear from our families, students, and community!

Both options are nearly identical. The only difference is the October teacher workday:
🍂 Option A – Monday, October 12 (the Monday right after Fall Break)
🎃 Option B – Friday, October 30 (the day before Halloween)

Both calendars keep breaks similar to this year and still allow us to wrap up the school year before the Memorial Day holiday.

Mrs. Krystal's Health Science I classes participated in wound care activities/ sterile dressings, this week. Work Base Learning students, Cyla Cuevas and Kaden Fenasci, who work at the HHS front office, created ornaments to represent the Work Base Learning Program. These ornaments will be on display in the Kiln Library, along with other ornaments created by students to represent their jobs.

Our Hawks Nest children proudly participated in the Excel by 5 Excelebration 2025, "Let’s Read” event, alongside other childcare centers in Hancock County. They sang and danced to “Old MacDonald Had a Book” and even dressed to match the Old MacDonald theme. 🥰

❤️🇺🇸 Veteran's Day Breakfast!! 💙🇺🇸 Chef Dani and her culinary students outdid themselves with a wonderful breakfast celebration honoring our veterans. The students decorated, prepared breakfast (including a crepe and omelet station) and served everyone. It was truly a wonderful celebration honoring the men and women who have served our country. Congratulations to Hue Ruebel, one of our very own HCCTC students, for being "Employee of the Month" at Coffee Culture!! Hue takes our Work Based Learning course, where students earn course credits while working at a local business. She is also in our Health Sciences Program at HCCTC. Hue, we are so proud of you!!

Congratulations to Coach Feazelle for being this week's HCCTC WaveMaker!! Coach Feazelle makes sure his students get a comprehensive view of the field, exposing them to everything from law enforcement and first responder roles to the intricacies of the court system, even guiding them as they research information and perform mock trials. He goes above and beyond, even volunteering his time on weekends, as he recently accompanied his students on a Saturday to a Safety Day with local law enforcement and emergency responders.
