Spencer Breland

Technology Director

Spencer Breland is the Technology Director of Hancock County School District. He graduated from Hancock High School in 2010 and earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduating from college, he returned to Hancock County School District in 2015 as a PC/WAN Specialist for the Technology Department. In February 2020, he was promoted to Technology Director, just before the COVID pandemic.

During the pandemic, Spencer worked hard with his team to navigate the challenges it brought with it and was instrumental in ensuring that both teachers and students had a Chromebook or laptop at their disposal, while also upgrading numerous technology systems across the district. This work continues even today.

Spencer currently lives in Diamondhead with his wife, Kera Faith Breland, who is an oncology pharmacist at Memorial Hospital. During his off time, he enjoys traveling to different places and finding new places to explore.
