Last week, we wrapped up the year by celebrating our Student Advisory students with a field trip to Hippie Fish Arcade!
This group has spent the year serving as a voice for their peers—sharing ideas, giving honest feedback, and helping us continue to grow as a district. Their input matters, and we are grateful for the role they play in shaping our schools.
We appreciate their willingness to step up, speak up, and lead. It was a great way to celebrate them!

Our Superintendent, Rhett Ladner, was selected as a keynote speaker at the National Superintendents Forum in St. Louis, where he shared how building a strong culture fuels success for students and staff.
From Hancock to the national stage, his message is clear: when we put people first and stay committed to the work, the impact goes far beyond our classrooms. 🦅

Today, we are proud to celebrate our Hancock County School District Parent of the Year, Bridget LeBlanc—a parent from Hancock Middle School! 🎉
Bridget represents the very best of what it means to be a true partner in education. From the very beginning, she stepped in with a genuine desire to be involved—and she has made an incredible impact ever since. As a dedicated PTO leader, she creates opportunities for families to connect, supports our staff, and always looks for ways to make things better for our students. Her kindness, leadership, and commitment can be felt throughout our school community. Because of Bridget, our teachers feel supported, our families feel connected, and our students benefit from a stronger school community.
Bridget, thank you for showing up, stepping in, and making a difference. We are Hancock, and we are grateful for you! 💙

This month, we’re proud to recognize the incredible impact of occupational therapy—and we’re especially grateful for Tammi Spence, who serves our students through the Office of Exceptional Children here in H Nation.
Tammi plays an important role in helping our students build the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom. From supporting fine motor development to fostering independence, her work makes a difference every single day.
Thank you, Tammi, for the care, dedication, and heart you pour into our students. We appreciate you and all you do to support our schools!
