📣 Dress Code Update for 2025–2026
Hancock County School District has updated its student dress code to reflect a more flexible, guideline-based approach—thanks to feedback from our families and staffulty.
Out of 1,895 total survey responses, 70.3% supported moving away from the previous uniform-style policy to a dress code based on general expectations for appropriate attire.
👕 Students will now have more choice—while still being expected to dress neatly and appropriately for school.

Hawks Nest Position available!
This is a GREAT program offered at our Career Tech. Pearl River community College, next door to us, also offers a two year Unmanned Aerial System Technology program. There are so many job opportunities in this up and coming field. Students who are interested should contact the Career Tech!

The teachers at HCCTC were shown all the appreciation this week!!! Amazing treats were enjoyed by all. ...donuts, pulled pork nachos, grits & sausage biscuits, ice cream sundae with all the toppings, cookies, and cake. Thank you to our amazing instructors!!!
It was a bittersweet day celebrating our senior student helper, Kadence Maurigi! Kadence has been a bright light and a big help in our CTC office this year. We will miss her, greatly!! Best wishes, Kadence!!!
Thursday was Culinary "Pop Up Restaurant Day" at HCCTC!!
The Culinary students' final exam was to develop a restaurant business from concept to opening with the goal of making a profit. They made delicious food and created their own restaurant area. CTC students from other programs visited and purchased their food of choice!! It was a great success!! The culinary students did a wonderful job!! #Hnation #F2G #Flying2Greatness
Brennen Steiner won third place in welding at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Lucedale, Friday. Jason Lee won the draw for welding equipment. HCCTC is so proud of you both!!!

Today, CTC treated our seniors and program completers with an end of year breakfast. First year Culinary students did a fantastic job serving the food and beverages and a great time was had by all.
Engineering students have been diving deeper into the world of electrical circuits using our new zSpace computers. These cutting-edge systems combine virtual and augmented reality to create an immersive, hands-on learning experience that brings complex concepts to life.

Hancock County School District will be closed for Spring Break beginning Friday, April 18 through Friday, April 25. Students return to school on Monday, April 28.

The CTC annual Spring Festival was a huge success!! Each year Mrs. Schenel Fricke and the National Technical Honor Society hosts a Spring Fest along with all the teachers and classes at the Career Tech. Each CTC program is in charge of a game and prizes for the students to enjoy!! There were so many smiles and giggles from all the children. Our CTC students did a great job of making sure each child felt special. What a GREAT day!!! More pics to come.....
Some of our CTC seniors all dressed up and enjoying "Senior Breakfast" hosted by the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.
Adulting Day was a huge success in our Culinary class!! Chef Dani and her Culinary students spent the day instructing students on how to make fried rice. They did a great job!!
David Garcia gave the Career Tech Students information on the opportunities available with the Army National Guard. It was a great presentation with lots of valuable information for the students.
