Last Thursday, the winners of Alpek Polyester's recycling art competition were announced. First grade's "Plastic Pastures" took first place, and second grade's "Down on the Bayou" display was awarded second place. First grade also won first place in the district, competing against West and South Hancock Elementary. Mrs. Jacobs would like to thank all of the parents for donating their plastic as well as the teachers and students for all of their help in completing this project.

We are proud to announce that our student aid has completed his apprenticeship program in coordination with HCCTC! Throughout this experience, Brody has shown incredible dedication and hard work, gaining hands-on experience in our front office and the classroom. From assisting with administrative tasks to helping create a positive learning environment, he has truly made a lasting impact on our school community. Mrs. Mitchell was his advisor while he was in the classroom.
We know this is just the beginning of an amazing journey ahead, and we can’t wait to see where Brody's passion for education takes him next. 🌟
