📣 Dress Code Update for 2025–2026 Hancock County School District has updated its student dress code to reflect a more flexible, guideline-based approach—thanks to feedback from our families and staffulty. Out of 1,895 total survey responses, 70.3% supported moving away from the previous uniform-style policy to a dress code based on general expectations for appropriate attire. 👕 Students will now have more choice—while still being expected to dress neatly and appropriately for school. 🎥 Watch this short video for an overview of what’s changing and what’s expected: 🔗 https://youtu.be/vM-kdG5MPRE 📘 View the full 2025–2026 dress code in the student handbook at www.hancockschools.net

This is an important announcement regarding awards day at HNCE. Everyone is welcome to attend the Awards and Kindergarten Completion ceremonies in the Gym. However, parents and guardians who plan to attend classroom awards will be required to present their IDs and sign in upon entry to the gym. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID. Once signed in, Parents and Guardians will receive a pass that will allow entry to the classroom awards after the gym ceremonies. ONLY Parents and Guardians will be permitted to enter the building due to limited space in the classrooms. Additional guests who are attending the Gym ceremony will not be permitted to enter the building for classroom awards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
