📅 Hancock County School District Calendar Vote for 2026–2027
We’re excited to share two calendar options for next school year, and we want to hear from our families, students, and community!

Both options are nearly identical. The only difference is the October teacher workday:
🍂 Option A – Monday, October 12 (the Monday right after Fall Break)
🎃 Option B – Friday, October 30 (the day before Halloween)

Both calendars keep breaks similar to this year and still allow us to wrap up the school year before the Memorial Day holiday.

Just a reminder that Thanksgiving Break begins tomorrow! We hope all our little "turkeys" have a great break, and we can't wait to see their smiling faces on December 1st.

We would like to thank everyone for their generosity in donating items for the canned food drive and turkey feather drive. The fundraiser was a huge success, and we are able to provide several HNCE families with their Thanksgiving meal. The remaining food donations will be brought to a local food pantry, and the remaining money collected will be used to help spread Christmas cheer for a few of our families in need.

The turkeys provided with the Thanksgiving Meals have been graciously donated by Refuge Church. Thank you for your support as well!
