The Exploring Health Care Pathways is a one-day enrichment experience offered by the Office of Admissions and the IMPACT the RACE Program at UMMC. Participants will gain insights into admission requirements, educational pathways, and scholarship opportunities for aspiring health care professionals. This year, we are hosting our first event on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). Space is limited to the first 250 registrants.

A big shout out to our awesome and talented CTC student, Emilee Battaglia. She did a beautiful job of painting a sea turtle on our CTC "surf board." Emilee completed the Ed Prep program last year and will be taking our Work Based Learning class this year. She has definitely made waves at the CTC by using her many talents to help teachers and students with projects. We appreciate you, Emilee! You are a wave maker!! 🌊

HCCTC participated in a great team building activity today! Chef Dani led the way instructing three teams on how to make pasta. When the past was finished, the layering began for the final product, which was lasagna. It was supposed to be a competition, but all three groups blew it out the water "making waves of greatness!!" They were delicious and a great time was had by all!!! Thank you Chef Dani for a great activity!!

Yesterday was a day of "getting down to business" at HCCTC! Mrs. LaShae and Mrs. Krystal presented us with training on how to use an Epinephrine Pen, Stopping the Bleed, using an AED and other helpful tips to make our CTC as safe as possible for our students and staff. Mrs. Martinez followed up with updating us on the business for the new year. We are ready for our students at HCCTC!! #MakingWavesOfGreatnes 🌊
