On the last day of school, students and attendees enjoyed our talent show. Several of our talented students showcase their dancing and vocal skills. We are so proud of each student and hope everyone enjoyed the show.

We are excited to announce our 2024-2025 HNCE Parent of the Year, Mrs. Brooke Rolison. We are so grateful for her dedication and the support she has shown to our school this year. She always stepped in wherever she was needed and was always ready to help at a moment's notice. From spending the week with us during Santa Shop, assisting at every book fair, and showing up daily for Teacher Appreciation Week, to helping staff with laminating and anything else they might need, she does it all with a servant’s heart.
Her commitment to making our school a better place is deeply appreciated, and her efforts have not gone unnoticed. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family, and congratulations!

📣 Dress Code Update for 2025–2026
Hancock County School District has updated its student dress code to reflect a more flexible, guideline-based approach—thanks to feedback from our families and staffulty.
Out of 1,895 total survey responses, 70.3% supported moving away from the previous uniform-style policy to a dress code based on general expectations for appropriate attire.
👕 Students will now have more choice—while still being expected to dress neatly and appropriately for school.
🎥 Watch this short video for an overview of what’s changing and what’s expected:

This is an important announcement regarding awards day at HNCE. Everyone is welcome to attend the Awards and Kindergarten Completion ceremonies in the Gym. However, parents and guardians who plan to attend classroom awards will be required to present their IDs and sign in upon entry to the gym. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID.
Once signed in, Parents and Guardians will receive a pass that will allow entry to the classroom awards after the gym ceremonies. ONLY Parents and Guardians will be permitted to enter the building due to limited space in the classrooms. Additional guests who are attending the Gym ceremony will not be permitted to enter the building for classroom awards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Reminder for 5th Grade Parents.
