Mr. Kendrick Lacoste
Director Of Maintenance

Kendrick Lacoste is the Director of Maintenance for the Hancock County School District and has served the district in this position since January 2021. Before being named Director, he served as the assistant manager of the maintenance department under Brian Williams from 2018 to 2021, and served as HVaC tech beginning in July 2016. He has worked in municipal, industrial and marine maintenance and has owned an air condition business as well.

Raised in Kiln, MS, Kendrick returned in 2007 with his family to run his air condition business with his Uncle Bradley Lacoste. All three of Kendrick’s sons attended East Elementary, Hancock Middle, and graduated Hancock High School.

Kendrick came to Hancock County School District to take a job that would keep him close to his sons and allow him to share time off for many of the holidays before they graduated from high school. He finds it very rewarding to be able to contribute to the education of so many young people by providing a safe, clean, and comfortable place to learn, but to also directly influence a few. Working with the young people who work with maintenance through the Career Pathways program have been the most rewarding to him. Mr. Lacoste enjoys helping them along on a path that they have already chosen, and helping others to see that there are many different skill sets needed in this world, not all of which come with college degrees, but many that can be profitable and rewarding if they are willing to learn and put in the work. This, and the opportunity to continually improve the facilities for this community’s children, is the best way he knows to give back to his community, Hancock County.
